Final week of training

Only four more sleeps to go – until Borussia's final game before the winter break. On Saturday Borussia travel to current league leaders Bayer Leverkusen, the league's only still undefeated team.

The game at the BayArena (1530 CET) brings the first half of the 2009/10 season to an end, but nobody at the BORUSSIA PARK is thinking about the forthcoming Christmas break. The players have one week of training left, a week of hard work with the focus fully on the final competitive match of the year. Head coach Michael Frontzeck has arranged four training sessions in preparation for the game, the first on Tuesday afternoon, another at 10 am on Wednesday and finally two sessions behind closed doors on Thursday and Friday.

"We're going to Leverkusen to get a result and end a good first half of the season for us on a positive note", said midfielder Michael Bradley on behalf of his team-mates. "Leverkusen are obviously a good team and haven't lost yet, but we've done well precisely against the top teams and on Saturday we want to put on as good a show as possible."

Borussia may well line up unchanged for the sixth game in a row. Both Juan Arango and Tobias Levels were on four yellow cards going into the Hannover game, but neither picked up a fifth and are therefore available for selection.

Paul Stalteri, Filip Daems, Gal Alberman and Jan-Ingwer Callsen-Bracker will not resume full training until the New Year, however.
