Austria beat Northern Ireland 1-0 in Belfast, with Michael Gregoritsch scoring the winner in the 42nd minute. Stefan Lainer played the full 90 minutes. At the midway point of the group phase, Austria are level on points with Norway at the top of League B, Group 1. Their next match will take place on Wednesday (20:45 CEST) against third-placed Romania, who lost 4-0 to Norway on Sunday.

GERMANY vs. SWITZERLAND

The next round of Nations League fixtures includes a League A, Group 4 tie between Germany and Switzerland. Available for selection for Germany are Matthias Ginter, Florian Neuhaus and Jonas Hofmann, while Yann Sommer and Nico Elvedi could feature for the guests. The match is of huge importance to both sides; Germany have five points, meaning that they currently lie two behind leaders Spain and need a victory to stay in touch at the top. Switzerland, meanwhile, are bottom of the group with just a solitary point, so a win here is their last chance to stay in contention. The last fixture between the two ended with a 1-1 draw in Basel.

ALGERIA

Ramy Bensebaini’s Algeria team will face the Netherlands in The Hague on Tuesday evening (21:00 CEST). It is the second friendly match in five days for the Algeria national team, after they beat Nigeria 1-0 last Friday. Bensebaini scored the only goal of the game for the North Africans.
