Borussia’s Germany international Jonas Hofmann has tested positive for COVID-19 while with the national team ahead of the World Cup qualifier against Iceland this evening (20:45 CEST).

He will now enter quarantine after contacting the Düsseldorf public health department. “Things are fine with me so far, I’m currently asymptomatic but it’s obviously annoying that I will have to miss the international fixtures,” said Hofmann himself. “I hope to be available for Borussia again as soon as possible.”
