Borussia and Puma present 2022/23 home kit

The Foals will wear their new Puma 2022/23 home kit for the first time, in the final match of this Bundesliga season this Saturday (15:30 CEST) against TSG Hoffenheim. The new kit is available for all fans to purchase now.

Puma and Borussia Mönchengladbach will debut their new home shirt this Saturday. The global sports brand from Herzogenaurach has created a kit which keeps to their design inspiration, whilst combining the club’s identity and a modern touch. The kit will make its first on-pitch appearance today, against TSG Hoffenheim (15:30 CEST).

The new home shirt is inspired by the club’s most successful years in the 1970s and 1980s. The traditional white shirt with a black and green stripe in the centre is a timeless design which combines the identity of the Foals with a modern touch. This is a motif which was also reflected in the design of the 2021/22 home kit, which put together the fashion of the new generation of Borussia fans and the iconic history of the “Elf vom Niederrhein”.

Classic and modern combined with one another

“Puma and Borussia Mönchengladbach have enjoyed a successful history together, which is reflected in our kit designs. We are proud to have been able to live up to our ethos of combining modern and classic elements together with Borussia, and we are already looking forward to the coming season,” said Martin Ulber, Puma head of sports marketing in central Europe. “We are very satisfied with the new design of the home kit from Puma. On the one hand, it harks back to the club’s golden era, but on the other hand, the kit’s modern and fashionable design really meets the tastes of lots of our fans,” said Guido Uhle, representative of Borussia.

The 2022/23 home kit is available now in our online shop, as well as the FohlenShops at BORUSSIA-PARK and the MINTO shopping centre in Mönchengladbach. A replica shirt, which is made of 100% recycled polyester and incorporates Puma’s new dryCell heat regulation technology, costs €84.95. The authentic version, which will be worn by the players and is made from Puma Ultraweave fabric, an ultra-light material, will cost €134.95. The women’s shirt will cost €79.95, and children’s sizes will cost €64.95. The mini-kits, pre-match kit and other accessories are also part of the collection for the 2022/23 season.

The new home kit, presented here by Lars Stindl, is inspired by the successful era of the 1970s and 80s.
