Borussia terminate Max Eberl’s contract

Borussia Mönchengladbach have terminated the contract of former sporting director Max Eberl, which was originally due to run until June 2026, at his own request.

Eberl informed Borussia that having stepped back from the post of sporting director at the end of January of this year that he wanted to return to football once again and accordingly wanted to accept a contract offer from RB Leipzig. “With the termination of his contract we complied with this wish. After good and fair conversations with RB Leipzig, we found a settlement that meets our expectations,” said Borussia’s CEO Stephan Schippers.
