flatexDEGIRO AG extend sponsorship deal until 2027

Borussia Mönchengladbach’s sponsorship deal with flatexDEGIRO AG has been extended until 2027.

Europe’s leading online broker will continue to feature on Borussia’s kit as the club’s main sponsor until at least 2024, with a co-sponsorship agreement also reached for the subsequent three years up to 2027. flatexDEGIRO AG has been Gladbach’s main sponsor since 2020.

Frank Niehage, CEO of flatexDEGIRO AG said: “We’re absolutely delighted that our partnership as Borussia’s main sponsor will carry on beyond next season and that we are able to continue to partner this amazing club and its fans in the long term as it develops even further. As Europe’s market leader in online trading, sustainable and long-term relationships are integral to us, both with our customers and our business partners.”

Stephan Schippers, chief executive at Borussia Mönchengladbach: We’re very pleased that flatexDEGIRO AG have committed to this early extension in what remains a strained period economically.  This new agreement is testament to the trusting and successful cooperation between both parties, as well as the long-term direction of our partnership.”

Muhamad Chahrour, CFO of flatexDEGIRO AG said, “Despite all the restrictions brought about by the coronavirus pandemic, our sponsorship with Borussia Mönchengladbach has already made a major contribution to significantly increasing the brand awareness of flatex in Germany and that of our company flatexDEGIRO across Europe in the first two seasons. Through extending our partnership, we look forward to further deepening the opportunities for strategic cooperation in the coming seasons.”

Guido Uhle, head of sponsorship and procurement at Borussia Mönchengladbach said: “After the contract extension with our sleeve partner Sonepar, this partnership extension with our main sponsor flatexDEGIRO AG is another essential building block in our partnership structure, which is designed based on stability and consistency. We look forward to the coming years together with flatexDEGIRO.”
