  • Tickets: 75,024 fans are expected at the Allianz Arena, which is sold out ahead of this encounter. 6,000 Gladbach supporters will be in the away end.
  • Sports Bar: This game will be broadcast live on all screens at the FohlenSportsBar.

Head-to-head record:

  • This will be the 109th Bundesliga meeting between the Foals and Bayern. The home side have the better record with 51 wins. Borussia, on the other hand, have 27 wins and there have been 30 draws.
  • In the last 11 years, it has been a much closer contest. No other Bundesliga side has taken more points off Bayern than Gladbach in that time.
  • Last season, Gladbach went undefeated in their three games against the Bavarians, with a 2-1 win at the Allianz, a 5-0 Pokal victory and a 1-1 draw at the BORUSSIA-PARK.
  • First welcomes second: This is just the second time in 48 years that Borussia Mönchengladbach and Bayern Munich have met on the Saturday evening slot at 18:30 CEST – the other being a 0-0 in Mönchengladbach in October 2014.

Fact of the matchday - presented by Interwetten

  • Since the start of the 2011/12 season, the Foals have won nine games against Bayern, with four of those coming at the Allianz – no Bundesliga side has won more than nine in that time!

Match statistics

  • Mönchengladbach have picked up seven points in their first three Bundesliga matches, making it the side’s best league start in four seasons – when Dieter Hecking’s side had achieved the same amount by this stage in the 2018/19 campaign.
  • With nine points and a goal difference of +14 (15 scored, one conceded) after three games, Bayern Munich have had the best start in Bundesliga history.
  • This is the 17th time that the Bavarians have started with three wins from three, with 13 of the previous 16 occasions seeing them become champions.
  • Julian Nagelsmann’s side have scored 20 goals in their first four matches in all competitions, which is a club record. Only one other Bundesliga side has ever managed this, when MSV Duisburg bagged 20 in the first four of the 1977/78 season.
  • Bayern are undefeated in their last eight Bundesliga games at the Allianz. Union Berlin are the only top division team who have an equally strong record at home.
  • However, the Foals are undefeated in their last five away fixtures – the longest current streak in the Bundesliga.
  • Both Julian Nagelsmann and Daniel Farke play an attractive brand of football: the two sides are the highest in the Bundesliga in terms of passes played and pass accuracy (88% and 87% respectively). Bayern have averaged 62% possession so far, the highest in the league – with Gladbach not far behind on 60% (third highest). This style has in turn created the most big chances, with Bayern creating 13, and Gladbach second highest on eight.
