The Fohlenelf began training for Saturday’s game against Schalke 04 (18:30 CET) on Wednesday morning. Tony Jantschke and Fabian Johnson missed the session.
First, the good news: Christoph Kramer is back in training after recovering from concussion. “Everything was tested and there were no issues. I’m pleased to be back again,” said Kramer, who hopes to return to the team that faces Schalke on the weekend. “That’s my target,” he continued. And Kramer is clear that this Sunday’s game is of big importance: “We want to stay at the top of the table. Three points on Saturday would do a lot of good.”
Doucouré ends training early
Kramer is on the right course for this weekend’s game, but questions marks remain over other players. Tony Jantschke is still suffering from concussion, while back problems are keeping Fabian Johnson out. Mamadou Doucouré stopped training early with pain in his thigh. The Fohlenelf will be back on the training pitches from 10:00 CET on Thursday morning before the final session on Friday.
