Fans have voted clearly in favour of Christoph Kramer as Borussia’s Player of the Month for February.
Almost 3,000 fans voted in the Borussia app for who they think deserved to win February’s award. At the end of the vote, the winner was clear – Christoph Kramer, who was also chosen to be Man of the Match in the 1-0 win over Hannover 96, won almost 50% of the vote. Tobias Sippel finished in second place, with around 30 percent of users voting for the goalkeeper. In third place, Raúl Bobadilla received around 20 percent of the votes.
Kramer was also close to being named Man of the Match in the home game against Dortmund; however, the defensive midfielder did receive this title in the match against Hannover 96. His spectacular goal in the 72nd minute gave Gladbach their first win after four consecutive losses without finding the back of the net. Kramer received a Lars Stindl pass to his right foot and then produced an unstoppable volleyed shot with his left into the top corner. Apart from this moment of brilliance, Kramer was as active as relentless as usual in midfield and once again covered one of the highest distances on the pitch of the Foals.
