Raul Bobadilla will leave Borussia and return to Argentina. The attacker has signed a three year deal with Argentinos Juniors.
“I had a great time at Borussia. I will always look back with fond memories”, said Bobadilla, who made 75 Bundesliga appearances, scoring eight goals for the Foals. The Argentine transferred to Borussia in the 2009/10 season, during which he played thirty league matches and scored four goals. In the following season, Bobadilla had 14 appearances and three goals to his name. He was then sent on loan to top-flight Greek side, Aris Saloniki. When he returned to Germany, he scored one goal in 15 appearances for Borussia in the second half of the 2011/12 season.
In January 2012 the attacker moved to BSC Young Boys and later to FC Augsburg for a four year spell on the hunt for goals. In the summer of last year, he moved back to Borussia. Due to several minor injuries, he only started four times in 13 Bundesliga appearances. The Argentine didn’t manage a single goal upon his return to the club. Borussia wish Rual Bobadilla all the best for his footballing future!
