Die Fohlen started their preparation for Saturday’s home game vs. Hertha Berlin (KO – 15:30 CET) on Tuesday morning.
Only those who played in Saturday’s 2-0 win over Schalke were involved in this morning’s training session, with the rest of the players having the morning off, having been involved in a training match against the U23s on Sunday. In the afternoon, starting at 15:30 CET, the entire stable will train together again, as they start more focussed training ahead of their second home match of 2019.
“We must keep on giving more”
Winning three times in a row has given the Foals a lot of confidence, yet they know they must up their game even further every game to carry on their success in the Bundesliga. “We’ve had a good start to the year, but we can’t allow ourselves to switch off. We must keep on giving more,” urged Thorgan Hazard, provider of both assists against Schalke. On Saturday, against Hertha, the Belgian wants the Foals to keep another clean sheet: “Of course, we want to continue our unbeaten home run,” says Hazard, but he is cautious of the visitors at the same time: “It won’t be easy – Hertha are very strong in their tackles and have some good players in their ranks.”
On Wednesday at 10:00 CET, and Thursday at 15:30 CET, the Foals will take to the training pitch once more.
