Last week’s derby between Borussia Mönchengladbach and 1. FC Köln, which was cancelled because of Storm Ciara, has been rescheduled for Wednesday, 11th March at 18:30 CET.
“This isn’t necessarily the date we were hoping for, but we can live with it,” said Borussia sporting director Max Eberl. All tickets for the original match remain valid. Fans who can no longer attend the rescheduled fixture are able to re-sell their tickets on the club’s official secondary ticket market.
The derby was due to kick off at 15:30 CET last Sunday. However, a safe journey home for fans following the match could not be guaranteed due to Storm Ciara. A decision was made together with the City of Mönchengladbach, the fire brigade, the police and the DFL to cancel the game early on Sunday morning.
