Marco Rose's side will prepare for the new season at the Klosterpforte hotel in Harsewinkel-Marienfeld.

The Foals’s summer training camp in 2020 will take place at the Klosterpforte hotel in Harsewinkel-Marienfeld. Borussia will prepare for the new season there from 17th to 23rd August. The club have also announced the first three pre-season friendlies.

As part of their pre-season ahead of 2020/21, Borussia Mönchengladbach will have a training camp from 17th to 23rd August at the Klosterpforte hotel in Harsewinkel-Marienfeld. The original plan was for the Foals to spend some time in Rottach-Egern, which they had done from 2012-2019, but the coronavirus pandemic meant that wouldn’t be possible this summer. A number of fans also made their way down south to Tegernsee with the Foals, however this won’t be possible this pre-season.

The six-day stay at the Klosterpforte hotel will follow all hygiene guidelines and no fans will be permitted. The Foals will play SC Paderborn in a friendly at the hotel’s football pitch on Saturday, 22nd August (15:00 CEST).

Marco Rose’s team will play two other friendlies before the training camp. Newly promoted third-division side SC Verl are the first opponents on Wednesday, 12th August (17:00 CEST) at Borussia’s training ground. Three days later, Gladbach will face another third-tier team in the form of MSV Duisburg (Saturday, 15th August, 14:00 CEST). These two games will also take place behind closed doors.
