Foals defeat Düsseldorf 4-0 in friendly

Borussia won their friendly match in the international break, overcoming Fortuna Düsseldorf 4-0. Breel Embolo scored a brace for the Foals, with Alassane Plea and Lars Stindl also getting on the scoresheet.

The Foals were the dominant team from the first minute and took a two-goal lead early on through Alassane Plea (3’) and Breel Embolo (15’). The control of the game continued in the second half and Borussia increased the advantage after the change of ends as Embolo doubled his tally (59’), before Lars Stindl rounded off the victory (84’).

Tobias Sippel was named in goal, behind a back three of Michael Lang, Tony Jantschke and Oscar Wendt. Patrick Herrmann played on the right of midfield with Ibrahima Traoré on the left. Christoph Kramer partnered Rocco Reitz in central midfield. Breel Embolo played behind Alassane Plea and Marcus Thuram in attack.
