Six members of U23 squad test positive for Covid-19

After head coach Heiko Vogel, five further members around the U23 team have tested positive for COVID-19.

The results of Tuesday’s round of Coronavirus tests carried out among the U23 playing and coaching staff produced five more positive cases. Head coach Heiko Vogel had already tested positive for the virus, after which the whole team and coaching staff as well as other potentially affected persons underwent home quarantine following discussions with the Mönchengladbach health authorities. The first team players have not been affected.

The three league fixtures against Rot-Weiss Essen, SC Wiedenbrück and Bonner SC have been postponed by the Western German Football Association.
