Foals to face Stuttgart on Wednesday in DFB-Pokal

The DFB have today confirmed the timings of the upcoming DFB-Pokal round of 16 games. Borussia will play away at VfB Stuttgart on Wednesday, 3rd February (20:45 CET).

The draw for the last 16 pairings was made by former Olympic champion ski jumper Sven Hannawald in early January. The DFB have now confirmed when these matches will take place, with the Foals playing away at VfB Stuttgart on Wednesday, 3rd February (20:45 CET). 

Borussia have cruised through the opening two rounds of the cup competition, winning 8-0 against Regionalliga sides FC Oberneuland and 5-0 at SV Elversberg. Stuttgart progressed following a 1-0 win over Hansa Rostock in the opening round, followed by a 1-0 win against SC Freiburg. 

This will be the fourth DFB-Pokal meeting between the sides. The Foals have won each of the previous three, winning 2-0 in the second round in 1981/81, 4-2 at home in the 2003/04 last 16, and 2-0 in the second round of 2016/17.
