Andreas Poulsen and Denmark U21s will face Germany in the quarterfinals of the U21 European Championship in Hungary and Slovenia on Monday evening (21:00 CEST).
Denmark reached the quarterfinals after going unbeaten in the group stages, with wins against France (1-0), Iceland (2-0) and Russia (3-0). After finishing top of their group, they set up a quarterfinal meeting with Germany in Székesfehérvár, Hungary. "I think that it will be an exciting and hard-fought match, which I'm very much looking forward to. I know that there will be many German fans watching the game on TV and am hoping that I will do well," said Andreas Poulsen (Photo: imago/Bonnerup). Poulsen played the full 90 minutes in two of his side's three group stage matches. Last season, the 21-year-old went back out on loan to first-division side Austria Wien for six months. The left-back made 12 competitive appearances for the side.
