Friendly away to FC Bayern München on 28th July – pre-season schedule finalised

Our final pre-season friendly has been arranged: On Wednesday, 28th July, the Foals will play against FC Bayern München at the Alliant Arena.

Borussia’s 2021/22 pre-season program has been finalised. On Wednesday, 28th July at 18:00 CEST, the team has a friendly against German champions FC Bayern München. Before this, Adi Hütter’s have three more friendlies to play: against Viktoria Köln (10th July, 15:30 CEST), away to SC Paderborn (17th July, 15:00 CEST) and against FC Metz (24th July, 15:30 CEST). After the game at the Allianz Arena, the Foals have their ‘dress rehearsal’ against FC Groningen on the 31st July at 15:30 CEST, before competitive fixtures begin a week later (6th – 9th August) with the DFB-Pokal first round.

  • Saturday, 24th July:    Friendly against FC Metz (15:30 CEST on the FohlenPlatz)
  • Wednesday, 28th July:  Friendly away to FC Bayern München (18:00 CEST at the Allianz Arena)
  • Saturday, 31st July:   Friendly against FC Groningen (15:30 CEST at BORUSSIA-PARK)

Pre-season training for the Foals starts tomorrow (Saturday, 3rd July). Borussia’s new head coach Adi Hütter will lead his team out onto the pitch at BORUSSIA-PARK at 10:30 CEST for the season’s first training session. Sunday’s training session will also be held in BORUSSIA-PARK, with as many fans as possible being given the chance to watch LIVE. Spectators must book their free ticket for the respective day on the online ticket portal. Access to the stadium can only be granted to people who can provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination, a negative coronavirus test, or proof of recovery from infection.

Borussia and Frankfurt share the points in a hard-fought encounter

On Matchday 33 of the Bundesliga, Borussia drew 1-1 with Eintracht Frankfurt in their final home game of the season. Eric Dina Ebimbe cancelled out Robin Hack’s early opener.

Borussia say farewell to Jantschke and Herrmann

At the final Bundesliga home game of the season against Eintracht Frankfurt, Borussia officially said farewell to Tony Jantschke and Patrick Herrmann, who will both retire from playing at the end of the season.
