Bensebaini back in team training

Ahead of the Foals’ first away game of the new season at Bayer 04 Leverkusen on Saturday (18:30 CEST), Ramy Bensebaini returned to team training on Monday afternoon.

Friday’s 1-1 draw against FC Bayern to open the new Bundesliga season is now in the past for Adi Hütter and his team. The Foals’ full focus is now on their first away game of 2021/22, which will take place this Saturday at Leverkusen (18:30 CEST). Preparations for this clash began on Monday afternoon with an 80-minute training session. After warming up, the players completed some 5 v 2 drills and worked on various other game scenarios.

Ramy Bensebaini was back in team training for the first time since injuring his thigh during the training camp in Harsewinkel-Marienfeld. The Algerian had missed the opening two matches of the season in Kaiserslautern (1-0) and away to Bayern. Mamadou Doucouré (rehabilitation after tearing his Achilles tendon), Manu Koné (MCL) and Breel Embolo (thigh muscle injury involving the tendons) were all missing, although the latter two will complete individual sessions tomorrow at BORUSSIA-PARK.

Denis Zakaria has been back in team training for a few days now.
