Skraback signs professional contract

Midfielder Luiz Skraback has signed a professional contract with Borussia until 2024.

The Foals have awarded Luiz Skraback a professional contract that runs until 2024. “Luiz has quickly become a very important player in the U23s. He has also shown what he can do with the first team recently,” said Borussia’s head of youth academy Roland Virkus. “He has a lot of potential to develop even further and now it’s down to Luiz to make the next step.”

Having grown up near Cottbus, Skraback started his footballing journey at 1. FC Frankfurt (Oder). He has been with Borussia since 2017. Although still eligible to play for the U19s, Skraback was already making strides in the U23s when the Under 19 Bundesliga was paused due to the Coronavirus pandemic. He made his debut in the third game of the Regionalliga West, just before his 18th birthday. The versatile Skraback made a total of 15 appearances for the U23s in the 2020/21 season, earning his spot as a regular for the new season. He has played in every game for the Young Foals so far.

Luiz Skraback has committed himself to Borussia until 2024.
