Borussia and Cichon Personnel Management have come together with you to vote for Borussia’s Player of the Month for September. As a result of the international break at the start of the month, there have only been three Bundesliga games this September. Lars Stindl was chosen as the Man of the Match of the 3-1 home win against Arminia Bielefeld; whilst Denis Zakaria was selected for both the 0-1 loss in Augsburg and the 1-0 win at home to Dortmund. Stindl collected his award for scoring a brace against Arminia, whilst Zakaria won in Augsburg for his strength in duels, before scoring the winning goal at home to BVB.

As well as Stindl and Zakaria, Joe Scally, Luca Netz and Patrick Herrmann are also nominated for the vote. Scally, who won the award in August, was an ever-present in the team through September, playing twice on the right wing and once on the left side of the defence. Fellow 18-year-old Luca Netz also started all three games in the month, the 3-1 win against Bielefeld being his first full start for the Foals after moving from Hertha BSC. Patrick Herrmann played well in September, especially in the Bielefeld game. After coming off the bench in the 58th minute, he set up both Borussia’s second and third goals.

The vote is open until midnight on Thursday – you can select the menu tab marked “polls” in the FohlenApp to vote for who you think the Player of the Month should be.
