Thuram and Bensebaini back in team training

On Tuesday, The Foals began preparations for the upcoming away game against Hertha BSC on Saturday evening (18:30 CEST). Marcus Thuram and Ramy Bensebaini were both involved again.

Marcus Thuram returns to training. For the first time since suffering an MCL injury at the end of August, the Frenchman was able to take part in training alongside his teammates. “He looked good and he could be back in full training soon,” said head coach Adi Hütter. Ramy Bensebaini was also back having taken steps in the right direction with respect to the foot injury he suffered around three weeks ago, and today he completed the training session with the team. “He is on the right track,” said Hütter.

Hofmann sits out

Jonas Hofmann, who picked up a knock in the first half of last Saturday’s game against VfB Stuttgart (1-1), sat out as a precaution and completed an individual session in the gym. “He will be able to train normally tomorrow,” Hütter clarified. The Foals continue to be without Christoph Kramer (thigh), Stefan Lainer (ankle) and Mamadou Doucouré (Achilles).

Four more sessions

After today’s 90 minute training session, Hütter will see his team at the training ground four more times this week: The final open session will be on Wednesday at 10:30 CEST as the three remaining sessions on Wednesday afternoon then on Thursday and Friday will all be behind closed doors. The big game of Bundesliga matchday nine between Hertha BSC and Borussia Mönchengladbach will kick off at 18:30 CEST on Saturday at the Olympiastadion in Berlin.
