Borussia to face Viktoria Köln in a friendly

The day after opening the second half of the season against FC Bayern München, the Foals will play a friendly against Viktoria Köln. The match will take place on Saturday, 8th January at 13:30 CET on the FohlenPlatz and will be available to stream live and free of charge on FohlenTV.

The second half of the 2021/22 season will begin away at FC Bayern München on Friday evening (20:30 CET). The next day, the Foals will face third-division side Viktoria Köln in a friendly on Saturday, 8th January. The match will kick off at 13:30 CET on the FohlenPlatz at BORUSSIA-PARK. Due to the current Coronavirus regulations, the match will take place behind closed doors. A live stream will be available free of charge on FohlenTV. 

Head coach Adi Hütter will be able to use the friendly in order to give game time to those players that didn't feature against Bayern the previous day. Players from Borussia's U23s and U19s will also be included in the squad. Viktoria, who count Borussia loanee Moritz Nicolas in their ranks, are currently in 15th place in the 3. Liga, with 22 points from 20 games.
