Borussia fans have voted Alassane Pléa as their Player of the Month for February, presented by Cichon Personalmanagement.
Alassane Pléa has won the vote for Borussia’s Player of the Month for February 2022! The vote, presented by Cichon Personalmanagement and run on the FohlenApp, saw 58% of the votes go to the attacker, with Yann Sommer (36%) and Florian Neuhaus (6%) in second and third places respectively.
The Frenchman was in dazzling form throughout February. The first game of the month, away to Bielefeld, saw him score the equaliser to secure an important 1-1 win. He flew into the six yard box to meet Jonas Hofmann’s cross and head home into the far corner. In the 3-2 win at home to Augsburg, Pléa flashed a fantastic cross in front of goal, which Manu Koné finished to start the scoring for the Foals.
The 2-2 draw at home to Wolfsburg saw Pléa add not one but two assists to his tally, as he set up both goals from Marcus Thuram and Breel Embolo with precise crosses from the inside right channel, which they both headed in. The attacker was the key player in three of the four games for Borussia in February, which gaining important points for the Foals along the way. “Alassane Pléa has been in great form for several weeks. He works and fights really hard for the team. His two assists against Wolfsburg really showed off the kind of things he can do and the run he is in,” praised head coach Adi Hütter.
