Borussia to open 2022/23 DFB-Pokal campaign against SV Oberachern on 31st July

The DFB have announced the kick-off times for the first round of matches in the DFB-Pokal. Borussia will travel to face fifth-tier SV Oberachern on Sunday, 31st July (15:30 CEST).

Two weeks ago, World Cup winner Kevin Großkreutz and DFB vice-president Peter Frymuth conducted the DFB-Pokal first-round draw from the German Football Museum in Dortmund. Today, the DFB have confirmed the kick-off times for the first round of fixtures. Borussia will face fifth-division side SV Oberachern away on Sunday, 31st July (15:30 CEST). 

The first round will take place from 29th July to 1st August. The second round has been set for 18th/19th October, with the round of 16 set to take place on 31st January to 1st February 2023, as well as 7th/8th February. The quarterfinals will be hosted on 4th/5th April 2023, followed by the semi-finals on 2nd/3rd May. The final will once again take place in Berlin's Olympiastadion on 3rd June.

Borussia reports second-highest turnover for 2023

During the annual general meeting for club members on Monday, 22nd March, Borussia chief executive Stephan Schippers gave his financial report for 2023. The club’s approximately €199.8 million of turnover is around €22 million more than last year.
