Borussia begin training camp in Tegernsee

The Foals arrived in Tegernsee on Sunday afternoon ahead of the week-long training camp in Bavaria. The team will be staying at the Althoff Seehotel Überfahrt in Rottach-Egern.

The team first flew from Düsseldorf to Munich, before travelling to Rottach-Egern on the team bus. In addition to the head coach Daniel Farke and his coaching team and staff, a total of 24 players checked into the Althoff Seotel Überfahrt at around 16:30 CEST. Tobias Sippel, Moritz Nicolas and Jan Olschowsy made up the goalkeeping trio, while outfielders Ko Itakura, Marvin Friedrich, Christoph Kramer, Patrick Herrmann, Marcus Thuram and Hannes Wolf, Lars Stindl, Alassane Plea, Jordan Beyer, Manu Koné, Luca Netz, Oscar Fraulo, Tony Jantschke, Torben Müsel, Famana Quizera, Florian Neuhaus, Conor Noß, Jacob Italiano, Yvandro Borges Sanches, Tom Gaal and Simon Walde made up the outfielders in the squad.

Rocco Reitz was unable to make the trip to Tegernsee due to illness, while international players Yann Sommer, Stefan Lainer, Jonas Hofmann, Ramy Bensebaini, Joe Scally, Nico Elvedi and Breel Embolo have been granted a slightly longer holiday and will join the team in the middle of the coming week. “It's always nice to be able to train in a different environment during pre-season, and a training camp is also important for the team spirit. You can get to know each other very well as a group and a team. That's why it's also important that the international players will join us in the next few days,” said Daniel Farke.

The first public training session at Tegernsee is scheduled for Monday at 10:30 CEST. Like all other public sessions held during the training camp, the session will take place on the training ground at Birkenmoos. All fans attending the session will also find Borussia's fan truck on site, where club merchandise is available for purchase.
