Match facts ahead of#WOBBMG

  • The Volkswagen Arena in Wolfsburg (30,000 capacity) is not sold out, but there are not tickets for away fans to buy on the day. Around 2,8000 Borussia fans are travelling to support the team.

  • The Wolves and the Foals have met 45 times in the Bundesliga, with Wolfsburg enjoying the better of the head-to-head. Wolfsburg have won 22 of the games, with 13 going Borussia’s way, alongside nine draws.
  • Wolfsburg have not won against any team  more in their Bundesliga history than Mönchengladbach (22), and have not acheived as many points against any other team (75). The Foals, however, are unbeaten  in their last five games against Wolfsburg (two wins, three draws).

Patrick Herrmann to retire from playing in the summer

Patrick Herrmann will retire from playing in the summer after 16 years at Borussia, including 15 as a member of the first team. The 33-year-old will remain at Gladbach in a non-playing capacity.
