Bensebaini scores Borussia’s Goal of the Year for 2022

Borussia fans have chosen Ramy Bensebaini’s overhead kick in the 3-1 win over TSG Hoffenheim as their Goal of the Year. Around a quarter of the votes on the FohlenApp were fpr the Algeria’s stunner.

Ramy Bensebaini’s stunning bicycle kick in the first Bundesliga game of the season, a 3-1 home win against Hoffenheim, has been named as the club’s Goal of the Year for 2022. Around 26% of fans on the FohlenApp voted for the left-back’s goal, ahead of Patrick Herrmann (24%, 3-1 win over VfB Stuttgart) and Lars Stindl (20%, 5-2 win over 1. FC Köln) in second and third respectively.

The first matchday of the current Bundesliga season saw Ramy Bensebaini deliver an absolute stunner at BORUSSIA-PARK. After a corner from Hofmann, Ko Itakura headed it back into the middle, where Bensebaini, facing away from goal, fired a fantastic bicycle kick into the bottom right corner to make it 1-1. After half-time, Marcus Thuram and Nico Elvedi both got on the scoresheet to secure a victory in the first game of the season.

Borussia and Frankfurt share the points in a hard-fought encounter

On Matchday 33 of the Bundesliga, Borussia drew 1-1 with Eintracht Frankfurt in their final home game of the season. Eric Dina Ebimbe cancelled out Robin Hack’s early opener.
