#BMGSVW Match Reaction

Following a narrow 1-0 friendly defeat to SV Werder Bremen on Thursday evening, we collected the post-match thoughts from Robin Hack, Tony Reitz and head coach Gerardo Seoane.

Robin Hack: “It was an open and even game. We had a lot of possession in the first half hour and created some half-chances. After that, Werder got into the game a bit more. Even though it’s only a friendly, it’s a bit annoying for me that we conceded a goal so late on. Nevertheless, we’ll keep our heads up and get fully stuck in once again when we take on Darmstadt.”

Tony Reitz: “To be with the first team on the pitch today was an unbelievable feeling, even if we lost the game. I could really tell that the technical level and pace of the game were a lot higher than I’m used to, but I can definitely take a good few things out of the game for myself and I’m delighted to have had the chance to play.”

Head coach Gerardo Seoane: “The first and most important thing is that everyone has come through the game without injury, and that all the players who haven’t played too much this season got good minutes. It was interesting to see how some of the lads who train with the first team regularly and went to the training camp are doing now. They’ve pretty much all had lots of positive developments to report. All in all, it was an even game with lots of young players on both sides.”
