Borussia to travel to Tegernsee for pre-season preparations for the eleventh time

The Foals will hold their summer training camp in Tegernsee from 27th July until 2nd August 2024. They will be staying at the Althoff Seehotel Überfahrt in Rottach-Egern as has been the case previously.

The Foals will be holding their summer training camp in Tegernsee next year for the eleventh time in total. Borussia previously prepared for the upcoming season in Rottach-Egern from 2012 until 2019. After relocating to Harsewinkel-Marienfeld for two years due to the pandemic, the Foals returned to Tegernsee in 2022 and 2023. They will be staying at the Althoff Seehotel Überfahrt in Rottach-Egern from 27th July until 2nd August during the summer of 2024.

“The conditions we are greeted by at Tegernsee are ideal. This applies to both Rottach-Egern’s sporting facilities as well as the Althoff Seehotel Überfahrt,” said Roland Virkus, Borussia’s sporting director. “The collaboration with the municipality’s representatives and FC Rottach-Egern has developed into a trusting partnership over the years. The Althoff Seehotel Überfahrt offers our players everything they need for an ideal pre-season alongside the training sessions,” Borussia’s chief executive Stephan Schippers added.

Christian Köck, the mayor of Rottach-Egern, is already looking forward to the Foals’ next visit. “It’s always nice to welcome Borussia Mönchengladbach in the lead-up to the start of the season. Based on past experience, a lot of fans always accompany the team, meaning that there will be something big going on again in the Tegernsee valley. Ultimately, our whole regions benefits from it.”

Vincent Ludwig, Managing Director of the Seehotel Überfahrt, is also full of anticipation: “Borussia are always very welcome guests with us. We’re pleased that they feel so comfortable in our company and we’ll once again do everything we can next year to ensure that they can prepare for the new season in the best way possible during their eleventh visit here.”
