Foals begin preparations for final home game of the year

This Tuesday morning, the Foals were joined by Manu Koné and Robin Hack as they kicked off their short preparations for the upcoming home game against Werder Bremen on Friday evening (20:30 CET).

Robin Hack, who missed the trip to Berlin due to illness, returned to the training pitch for this new week alongside Manu Koné, who sat out the game at the weekend because of muscle problems. Tony Jantschke also took part in some aspects of team training for the first time since his thigh injury, and Ko Itakura was also partially integrated following his ankle operation at the end of October. “The last two games of the year will likely come too soon for him though,” says head coach Gerardo Seoane.

An unwell Tomáš Čvančara missed the first session of the week. “It’s hard to assess how bad his illness is. We’ll have to wait and see how quickly it goes away,” says Seoane with regards to Friday. Jordan (thigh strain), Jonas Omlin (recovering from a shoulder operation) and Lukas Ullrich (shoulder operation) were also still missing because of injury.

The two remaining sessions before #BMGSVW will take place behind closed doors on Wednesday and Thursday morning. The Foals get Bundesliga Matchday 15 underway on Friday evening with a home game against SV Werder Bremen.

Ko Itakura is being reintegrated into team training this week.
