Goal 1: Lars Stindl (Bundesliga 22/23: Borussia – Bayer Leverkusen 2-3)

Despite mounting a brave comeback in their first Bundesliga game of the year, the Foals suffered a 3-2 defeat against Leverkusen. Lars Stindl scored twice late on after the Foals found themselves 3-0 down. His second goal came in injury time, as Stindl took aim from around 17 metres out and smashed the ball off the underside of the crossbar and into the back of the net.

Goal 2: Nathan Ngoumou (Bundesliga 22/23: Borussia – VfL Wolfsburg 1-0)

The Foals ended a run of five Bundesliga games without a win with a 2-0 victory against VfL Wolfsburg on matchday 27. Nathan Ngoumou netted the opener in the 34th minute, getting on the end of a pass from Marcus Thuram in the box before cutting inside and finishing with his left foot into the far corner.

Goal 3: Ko Itakura (Bundesliga 23/24: Borussia – FC Bayern München 1-0)

Despite putting in a hard-fought performance against FC Bayern München, the Foals fell to a narrow 2-1 defeat on matchday 3. Ko Itakura had put Borussia ahead in the opening half an hour, after Max Wöber had flicked on a cross from Alassane Plea. Itakura rose highest at the back post and sent a looping header into the top right corner.

Goal 4: Tomáš Čvančara (Bundesliga 23/24: SV Darmstadt – Borussia 3-3)

The following matchday, the Foals came away with a 3-3 draw at SV Darmstadt 98. After a disappointing first half saw Borussia head into the dressing room trailing 3-0 at half time, they managed to score three times with a man advantage in the second. Tomáš Čvančara netted the final goal of the game, with a powerful effort on the turn from 20 metres out, leaving goalkeeper Marcel Schuhen with no chance.

Goal 5: Alassane Plea (Bundesliga 23/24: VfL Bochum – Borussia 0-3)

Alassane Plea had to wait several months to finally net the 50th Bundesliga goal of his career. He then found the back of the net twice in a 3-1 win in Bochum on matchday 6. His goal to make it 3-0 saw him pick up the ball in midfield before driving his way into the box and finishing with a well-placed effort in at the far post.

Goal 6: Joe Scally (Bundesliga 23/24: Borussia – FSV Mainz 05 2-2)

Joe Scally’s first Bundesliga goal at BORUSSIA-PARK helped Borussia rescue an important point on matchday 7. The Foals were 2-1 down against Mainz, before Scally netted the equaliser in the 88th minute. After getting on the end of a flicked on cross from Ngoumou, the USMNT international scored a sensational strike from 20 metres out to leave goalkeeper Robin Zentner with no chance.

Goal 7: Manu Koné (DFB-Pokal 23/24: Borussia – VfL Wolfsburg 1-0)

Just as it seemed as though Borussia’s round of 16 DFB-Pokal clash with VfL Wolfsburg was destined to head to extra time, Manu Koné popped up with a late winner for the Foals. Florian Neuhaus won the ball and countered quickly, entering into a quick one-two with Ngoumou. He then took the ball to the goalline before cutting it back to the far post, where Koné was able to head in from close range.

Goal 8: Alassane Plea (Bundesliga 23/24: SC Freiburg – Borussia 1-1)

Borussia drew 3-3 at SC Freiburg after a hectic game on matchday 10. Alassane Plea had put the Foals 2-1 up after half an hour, driving down the pitch after getting the ball from Julian Weigl. He dribbled past Philipp Lienhart and smashed the ball into the right corner from just inside the box.

Goal 9: Manu Koné (Bundesliga 23/24: Dortmund – Borussia 0-2)

Manu Koné put the Foals 2-0 up in an eventual 4-2 defeat against Borussia Dortmund matchday 12. After a pass from Franck Honorat, Koné won the ball and beat three BVB players before slotting home from nearly 15 metres out.

Goal 10: Rocco Reitz (Bundesliga 23/24: Borussia – Werder Bremen 2-1)

Borussia came back from 1-0 down to draw 2-2 against SV Werder Bremen on matchday 15. Rocco Reitz netted a brace to help the Foals earn a point, with his first goal the result of a well-worked team goal. Luca Netz and Alassane Plea combined to send the ball to Robin Hack. The latter then squared it at the top of the box for Reitz, who sent Olivier Deman the wrong way before coolly finishing his chance.
