Patrick Herrmann to retire from playing in the summer
Patrick Herrmann will retire from playing in the summer after 16 years at Borussia, including 15 as a member of the first team. The 33-year-old will remain at Gladbach in a non-playing capacity.

- Christian Dingert will referee Saturday’s clash between Gladbach and Freiburg. It will be the 21st time that the 43-year-old officiates a game involving the Foals in the Bundesliga. Benedikt Kempes and Nikolai Kimmeyer have been selected as the linesmen for the match, with Tom Bauer serving as the fourth official. Dr. Felix Brych and Sven Waschitzki-Günther will be on VAR duty.
