Gladbach won their final pre-season friendly 4-0 against VVV Venlo on Friday night. Lars Stindl, Patrick Herrmann, Ramy Bensebaini and Torben Müsel were all on the scoresheet.

Around 1,500 fans in the Stadion De Koel in Venlo were in attendance to see a dominant performance from the Foals. Captain Lars Stindl put the away side ahead after just seven minutes. Gladbach came out of the blocks quickly, as Torben Müsel, who had only just come on half time, added a third two minutes into the second half. Patrick Herrmann scored a spectacular fourth in the 56th minute. Venlo had several bright moments late on, but Tobias Sippel was equal on every occasion.
