Facts and stats ahead of #BMGFCU
Everything to know ahead of the Foals’ first home game of 2020/21 against 1. FC Union Berlin on Saturday (15:30 CEST).

- Before the 2020/21 Bundesliga season got underway, Germany’s 16 states agreed to a uniform set of rules governing the return of fans to stadiums. Over the course of a six-week trial period, stadiums will be permitted to open at 20 per cent of their total capacity. This means that BORUSSIA-PARK will be permitted to allow 10,804 fans to attend Borussia’s home games until the end of October.
Head-to-head record:
- This will be the third ever Bundesliga meeting between the sides.
- Last season, newly-promoted Union won 2-0 at home at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei. The Foals won the reverse fixture 4-1.
- The two sides have also met once in the DFB-Pokal. In the 2000/01 semi-finals, the Foals lost 4-2 (2-2 a.e.t.) in a penalty shootout against Union, who were in the Regionalliga (third division at the time) back then.
