Matthias Ginter, Jonas Hofmann and Florian Neuhaus have once again been called up to play for Germany ahead of the final international break of the year. Eight other Borussia players have also been selected by their respective countries.
Germany
Matthias Ginter, Jonas Hofmann and Florian Neuhaus have once again been called up to play for Germany. Head coach Joachim Löw has included the trio in his squad for the final three internationals of the year. The majority of the 29-man squad are expected to arrive in Leipzig on Monday afternoon. Eight players, including Matthias Ginter, will only join up with the team on Thursday afternoon. These players will only feature in both Nations League matches against Ukraine and Spain.
France
Borussia's Marcus Thuram has been called up to the France squad for the first time. Head coach Didier Deschamps has selected 'Tikus' in his 26-man squad for a triple-header of games. Despite a strong run of form recently, Alassane Plea has been left out of the squad.
Switzerland
Borussia's Swiss trio of Yann Sommer, Nico Elvedi and Breel Embolo have all been called up for the final three internationals of 2020. Embolo was previously left out of the squad in October after having only just come back from a lengthy injury break. Additionally, Michael Lang is on stand-by.
Austria
Austria head coach Franco Foda has called up Stefan Lainer and Valentino Lazaro for his side's upcoming three games. Hannes Wolf is on stand-by for these games, but will otherwise be in action with the Austria U21s.
Austria U21
Hannes Wolf has been called up by the Austria U21s for their final two UEFA U21 EURO 2021 qualifiers. Currently, head coach Werner Gregoritsch's side are in second in Group 3 with 15 points. Although they cannot overtake table-toppers England (22 points), Austria still have a chance to qualify for the tournament by finishing within the top five teams out of the runners-up. They won both their first meetings with Turkey (3-0) and Andorra (3-1).
Algeria
Ramy Bensebaini has been called up by Algeria for their upcoming AFCON 2022 qualifiers. Algeria currently top Group H with six points ahead of upcoming opponents Zimbabwe (4 points), after having won both of their opening two games in qualifying.
Slovakia
László Bénes is on stand-by for Slovakia's three upcoming internationals.
