Patrick Herrmann to retire from playing in the summer
Patrick Herrmann will retire from playing in the summer after 16 years at Borussia, including 15 as a member of the first team. The 33-year-old will remain at Gladbach in a non-playing capacity.
During the last round of Covid-19 tests carried out among the players and coaching staff, one first team player returned a positive result.
Upon request of the player, the club has decided not to disclose their name. The player in question is currently in quarantine. After discussions with the health authorities, no other member of the playing or coaching staff must isolate as a result of the hygiene measures in place at the club. In a round of testing carried out yesterday, the rest of the first team players and staff all returned negative results.
