Hofmann returns to training as Foals begin preparations for Augsburg

On Tuesday afternoon, the Foals began preparations for Friday evening’s Bundesliga clash away at FC Augsburg (20:30 CET). Returning for the training session was Jonas Hofmann following his short period out with injury.

Borussia started the shortened week of training ahead of Friday night’s trip to Bavaria with a 90-minute session. Jonas Hofmann joined up with his teammates again for training after missing the 1-0 defeat to Bayer Leverkusen with muscular problems. However, Christoph Kramer was absent due to a capsular ligament injury, while Ramy Bensebaini was also unable to take part in the team session due to muscular problems.

“It will certainly be an intense game in Augsburg. We’re expecting a lot of duels. We want to focus on ourselves first and foremost though,” commented Marco Rose after training. Borussia’s coach will lead sessions on Wednesday and Thursday before the Foals make the trip to Augsburg to kick off matchday 25 in the Bundesliga.
