DFL schedules Bundesliga matchdays 29-34

On Thursday, the German Football League (DFL) released the exact times for the final six Bundesliga matchdays of the season.

The DFL has set the dates for the final six matches of the Bundesliga season. The Foals have four Saturday fixtures, plus one on a Sunday and one on a Wednesday. Borussia face Eintracht Frankfurt at home on matchday 29, kicking off at 15:30 CEST on Saturday, 17th April. Four days later it is a trip to face TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, before another game later in the week against Arminia Bielefeld at BORUSSIA-PARK (Sunday, 29th April at 20:30 CEST). In matchday 32’s Topspiel we travel to the Allianz Arena to take on Bayern Munich. Kick-off in that one is set for Saturday, 8th May at 18:30 CEST. As usual, the final two fixtures of the season will take place on Saturdays at 15:30. The Foals take on Stuttgart at home before finishing up with a trip to face Werder Bremen.

  • Matchday 27: Borussia – SC Freiburg (Saturday, 3rd April, 20:30 CEST)
  • Matchday 28: Hertha BSC – Borussia (Saturday, 10th April, 15:30 CEST)
  • Matchday 29: Borussia – Eintracht Frankfurt (Saturday, 17th April, 15:30 CEST)
  • Matchday 30: TSG Hoffenheim – Borussia (Wednesday, 21st April, 20:30 CEST)
  • Matchday 31: Borussia – Arminia Bielefeld (Sunday, 25. April, 18:00 CEST)
  • Matchday 32: FC Bayern München – Borussia (Saturday, 8th May, 18:30 CEST)
  • Matchday 33: Borussia – VfB Stuttgart (Saturday, 15th May, 15:30 CEST)
  • Matchday 34: Werder Bremen – Borussia (Saturday, 22nd May, 15:30 CEST)

Emotional send offs for Jantschke and Herrmann

Any lingering doubts about Borussia not remaining in the Bundesliga next season have dissolved away following the 1-1 draw against Eintracht Frankfurt. The match against Frankfurt was also marked by send-offs for Tony Jantschke and Patrick Herrmann.

Borussia and Frankfurt share the points in a hard-fought encounter

On Matchday 33 of the Bundesliga, Borussia drew 1-1 with Eintracht Frankfurt in their final home game of the season. Eric Dina Ebimbe cancelled out Robin Hack’s early opener.
