Foals start a new training week with Stindl back involved

Borussia began their preparations for Saturday’s primetime match against FC Bayern (18:30 CEST), with captain Lars Stindl returning to training.

The 2020/21 season is drawing to a close. Three games are left with the season coming to a close on 22nd May. This weekend, the Foals are in action away at FC Bayern (Saturday, 18:30 CEST). “We know what to expect from games in Munich – plus they can win the title on Saturday,” said head coach Marco Rose. “However, with the season almost over, we are playing for important points. We’re travelling to Munich to pick up some. We need to find the right balance between attacking with confidence and defending solidly.”

Borussia’s preparations for Saturday’s clash started on Monday with a 90-minute training session. “Today was a session for the lads to work themselves into this week. Tomorrow our full focus will be on the Bayern game. The players already looked well up for it though,” said Rose. After an intensive warm-up, various drills were completed. Captain Lars Stindl, who had been out with a muscle strain recently, was able to complete all parts of training. “Things are looking good for Lars – he was able to train with the rest of the lads,” confirmed Rose. Torben Mübel (rehabilitation training) and Mamadou Doucouré (operation after a torn achilles tendon) were not involved.
