Scally earns maiden USMNT call-up

Wonderkid Joe Scally has been selected for the USA national team for the first time, ahead of the upcoming World Cup qualifiers. Ten more Foals have also been called up for their respective countries.

USA

Joe Scally’s impressive performances for the Foals have earned him a place in the US national team – the 18-year-old has been selected by national team coach Gregg Berhalter for the first time, ahead of World Cup qualifiers at home against Mexico and away in Jamaica.

Germany

Hansi Flick has selected Foals trio Matthias Ginter, Florian Neuhaus and Jonas Hofmann for the final World Cup qualifiers of Germany’s campaign. Already qualified for the tournament, “Die Mannschaft” still have to face Liechtenstein and Armenia to finish off group J.

Switzerland

There are four Borussia players in the Swiss squad, Yann Sommer, Nico Elvedi, Denis Zakaria and Breel Embolo. The “Nati” end their qualification campaign with games against reigning European champions Italy, and Bulgaria.

Algeria

Ramy Bensebaini is in the Algerian national squad, as they conclude the second round of their qualification run with a game against Djibouti in Cairo and a home game against Burkina Faso.

Ireland U21

Conor Noß is part of the Irish U21 side as they continue their qualification journey for EURO 2023 in Romania and Georgia, with home games against Italy and Sweden.

Germany U21 head coach Antonio Di Salvo has selected Luca Netz for the second time. The 18-year-old has been chosen for the squad’s two EURO 2023 qualifiers against Poland and San Marino.

László Bénes is on the reserve list for the Slovakia squad for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Slovenia (November 11th) and Malta (November 14th).

Germany U20

Like Bénes, Jan Olschowsky is on the reserve list for the Germany U20 squad as they play friendlies against France (November 11th) and Portugal (November 15th).
