Trio return to team training

The Foals began a new week of training and welcomed back three returning players in Denis Zakaria, Joe Scally and Keanan Bennetts.

The training pitch at BORUSSIA-PARK is getting busier and busier. Jordan Beyer and Tony Jantschke made their comeback from injury last weekend during the 2-1 win against FC Bayern, and although Christoph Kramer (flu) was absent from the first session of this week, Denis Zakaria, Joe Scally and Keanan Bennetts, who all recently spent time isolating at home after testing positive for Coronavirus, all returned to team training. Mamadou Doucouré has also come out of quarantine and trained individually.

This leaves Borussia with a full squad ahead of their upcoming home match against Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday (18:30 CET) with the exceptions of Jonas Hofmann (knee), who is working on his comeback following an operation, and Ramy Bensebaini, who is currently taking part in the Africa Cup of Nations with Algeria. There are still five sessions planned for the Foals before they welcome Leverkusen this weekend, on Tuesday (10:30 CET), a double session on Wednesday behind closed doors, on Thursday (10:30 CET) and another behind-closed-doors session on Friday.

Keanan Bennetts (L) and Joe Scally (R), who were both recently in quarantine after testing positive for Coronavirus, are back in team training.
