Preparing for Bielefeld: Sippel sidelined, Bensebaini trains individually

The Foals got going with their preparations for the away fixture against Arminia Bielefeld with a 90 minute training session on Tuesday morning. Goalkeeper Tobias Sippel was missing alongside captain Lars Stindl. Ramy Bensebaini completed an individual session.

Bundesliga matchday 21 is just days away, and the Foals will travel to take on Arminia Bielefeld on Saturday (15:30 CET). “We are preparing for this game with intensity and concentration,” said head coach Adi Hütter. The 51-year-old started off the team’s preparations with a 90 minute session on the training pitch at BORUSSIA-PARK.

Lars Stindl could not take part, however. The captain suffered a knee injury in training ahead of the home defeat to Union Berlin (2-1). Goalkeeper Tobias Sippel, who collided with Christoph Kramer last week in training, was also absent because of bruising to his ribs. Ramy Bensebaini is also not yet back in team training, and instead completed an individual session. “I think Ramy will be able to join the team again tomorrow,” said Hütter.

For Bensebaini and his teammates, there are now four sessions scheduled before the away game in Bielefeld. On Wednesday, the Foals will train twice behind closed doors, on Thursday they will train at 10:30 CET, before another session on Friday that will also be closed to the public.
