Spectators

  • For the first time since 2020, the Sportpark Ronhof (photo: DFL/ Getty Images / Widmann) are permitted to host a full house. Around 13,000 tickets have been sold so far, and approximately 2,300 Gladbach fans will accompany the team to Fürth.
  • The requirement to show proof of vaccination, recovery, or a negative test result no longer exists and there is also no requirement to wear a face covering.

Borussia’s record against Fürth

  • Fürth are one of six sides against whom Borussia have never dropped points in the Bundesliga. However, the two sides have only met on three occasions in the top flight. Borussia came out on top in both matches in the 2012/13 season (1-0 at home and 4-2 away), and they defeated SpVgg earlier this season in Mönchengladbach (4-0).
  • There have been eight further meetings between the two sides (six Bundesliga 2 matches, 2 DFB-Pokal matches). Borussia’s record in these matches is also strong (W6, D2), which means that the Foals are yet to lose to Fürth in eleven competitive meetings.

Statistics – presented by UNIBET

  • In their last three matches, Borussia have gone unbeaten, beating Hertha BSC (2-0) and Bochum (2-0) and drawing to FSV Mainz 05 (1-1). This is the first time they have gone three consecutive matches without defeat in 2022. They achieved this streak on two occasions during the first half of this season, but they’ve not yet gone four matches unbeaten under head coach Adi Hütter.
  • The Foals have had 412 attempts on goal this season, with only league leaders FC Bayern München having more. On the other hand, Fürth have the fewest shots on goal (265).
  • Fürth have only picked up five points in the first half of this season, but have made an improvement in the second half, picking up 11 points. They are close to beating their record for most points collected in one half of a season, after they won 12 points in the second half of the 2012/13 season.
  • SpVgg Greuther Fürth’s last two games have both been 0-0 draws, against SC Freiburg and Eintracht Frankfurt, and they could keep three clean sheets in consecutive league matches for the first time in their Bundesliga history.
  • Fürth have had a strong home record in recent times, losing just once in their last eight matches on home turf (a 6-1 defeat to Leipzig).
