An intense second day of training in Tegernsee as Netz tests positive

On Tuesday afternoon, the Foals completed their second session of the Tegernsee training camp. It was revealed just beforehand, however, that Luca Netz had tested positive for Covid.

Before the Gladbach players took to the training ground on Tuesday morning, it was revealed that defender Luca Netz had tested positive for Coronavirus. The U21 international is isolating at the team hotel and is under medical attention. Manu Koné (impact trauma to the knee) and Jacob Italiano (slight muscle injury in the thigh) missed training for the second day in a row. Rocco Reitz could not travel to the training camp due to illness.

It was, however, a very intense 120 minute session for those that took part. After the warm-up, the players completed different exercises with the ball under the watchful eye of head coach Daniel Farke. “The training was very hard. But I have to say that that’s a good thing. It is important that the preparations are intense,” said midfielder Christoph Kramer in a press conference afterwards. A second session will take place in Rottach-Egern at 16:30.
