Partial ruptures for Neuhaus and Itakura

Florian Neuhaus has suffered a partial rupture of the posterior cruciate ligament injury in his right knee, while Ko Itakura has suffered a partial rupture to his medial collateral ligament.

The outcome of the knee injury suffered by Florian Neuhaus during Sunday’s 0-0 draw in Freiburg is a partial rupture of the posterior cruciate ligament. An operation is not required and club doctors are currently discussing the midfielder’s course of treatment. Therefore, a specific injury period is not yet known, but the 25-year-old will definitely be out of action for the upcoming weeks.

Ko Itakura, who missed the game against Freiburg through suspension, suffered a partial rupture to the medial collateral ligament in his left knee during training on Monday. The Japan international does not require surgery and will undergo a conservative course of treatment. He’s expected to be unavailable for the remainder of the Foals’ fixtures until the World Cup break.
