His participation with the Germany national team at the World Cup, which begins on 20th November, is not at risk.
Hofmann landed badly on his left shoulder after a duel around the half an hour mark in the Pokal game yesterday. The Germany international initially carried on playing, but he did not re-emerge from the dressing room for the second half, with Lars Stindl his replacement.
