Koné and Bensebaini return to team training

The Foals began preparations for Saturday’s home game against VfL Bochum on Tuesday afternoon. Manu Koné and Ramy Bensebaini both returned to team training.

VfL Bochum will visit BORUSSIA-PARK for the Foals’ penultimate home game of the season this Saturday (15:30 CEST). Daniel Farke’s team began preparations for the matchday 31 clash on Tuesday afternoon. The session began with some in-depth video analysis. “We have struggled to create chances in recent weeks,” said Farke. “That is why we looked closely at what we can do better. We analysed a few bits of footage.”

Hofmann & Thuram train individually

Farke took his side out onto the training ground for 90 minutes following the video analysis. He was still without Marcus Thuram (adductor strain) – the Frenchman trained individually, as did Jonas Hofmann. “Hoffi has had some flu-like symptoms over the last few days. They started after Saturday’s game and that’s why he trained individually today. He feels a lot better already, so I think he’ll be able to train with the rest of the lads tomorrow,” explained the coach.

Manu Koné (thigh strain) and Ramy Bensebaini (hip), who, like Thuram, missed the defeat in Stuttgart last time out, returned to team training. “Manu and Ramy were able to complete most of training, they only skipped the end. They are both looking good,” revealed Farke. “We hope they can complete the full session tomorrow. They will be available for the weekend if they do.”

The Foals will train four more times before Saturday’s home game against Bochum. The sessions on Wednesday and Thursday, both at 10:45, are open to the public.
