Key dates announced for pre-season

The Foals’ 2022/23 season has now finally ended after a three-day post-season tour. The first key dates ahead of 2023/24 have now been announced.

Borussia Mönchengladbach’s pre-season will begin on Sunday, 9th July. The players will return to BORUSSSIA-PARK for medical tests in the days prior to this.

The first friendly will be played on Saturday, 15th July (16:00 CEST) away to FC Wegberg-Beeck. The Foals will face 1. FC Saarbrücken on Saturday, 22nd July on their way to the training camp in Rottach-Egern (23rd July to 30th July). Two further friendlies there will be announced at a later date.

Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th August will be busy days at BORUSSIA-PARK. This is when the season opening event will take place, which includes a friendly and a wide range of activities for fans, such as the family day and Jünter day – presented by the club’s main sponsor flatexDEGIRO AG.

  • Sunday, 9th July: Pre-season begins 
  • Saturday, 15th July: Friendly away to FC Wegberg-Beeck (16:00 CEST)
  • Saturday, 22th July: Friendly away to 1. FC Saarbrücken (Kick off TBA)
  • Sunday, 23rd until Sunday, 30th July: Training camp at Tegernsee with two friendlies
  • Saturday 5th and Sunday, 6th August: Season opening weekend with a friendly, wide range of activities, family day and Jünter day
  • Friday, 11th until Monday, 14th August: First round of the DFB-Pokal
  • Friday, 18th until Sunday, 20th August: First matchday of the Bundesliga
