Florian Neuhaus extends with Borussia until 2027

Borussia Mönchengladbach have agreed a three-year contract extension with midfielder Florian Neuhaus, keeping him at the club until 30th June 2027.

“Flo arrived here as a talented youngster and has developed into a seasoned Bundesliga player with international experience,” said managing director for sport Roland Virkus. “That makes him your typical Borussia player. We’re delighted that he has committed to the club and that we get to keep hold of a player of his quality.”

Borussia signed Neuhaus in summer 2017 from then second-division side TSV 1860 München, before sending him out on loan to Fortuna Düsseldorf for the following season. The Bavarian-born midfielder made 29 competitive appearances for F95, scoring six goals and assisting a further three. In September 2020, Neuhaus was called up to the Germany national team for the first time by then head coach Joachim Löw, although he didn’t feature in those UEFA Nations League fixtures. His first cap did come a month later though in a friendly against Turkey in Cologne, a game his also marked with his maiden Germany goal.
